Ami-Jane Murphy started conveyancing as a legal secretary in 2002. In 2006, whilst working full time, she attended Chelmsford College in the evenings preparing for her law exams. Ami-Jane qualified in 2009 and has since specialised in residential conveyancing. She joined John Fowlers Solicitors as a Licensed Conveyancer in September 2014.
“Working with people is something I treasure about my role at John Fowlers Solicitors. One of my favourite parts of the job is calling a client to say their property has exchanged or been completed. Sometimes I’m more excited than them! I help clients deal with the paperwork that comes with residential conveyancing, making the process easily digestible for the client and as stress-free as possible.
We have the “old school” personal and friendly touch you’d expect from a historic firm. Every member of staff and every client matters. There is a complete appreciation from the people at the firm that the legal issues we deal with every day really do affect peoples’ lives.
It’s important that ours is a firm that makes things happen and reacts to new opportunities. I’m excited about the firm continuing to evolve with the conveyancing market and remaining a leading legal presence in Colchester and the surrounding area.
I’m working on and renovating my own home when I’m out of the office. I am also a keen wildlife photographer and love going to the cinema and theater. Another one of my passions is my car and Motorsport.”
