Planning ahead for the future of your family will be one of the most important decisions you make. Drawing up a Will ensures your loved ones are provided for.
Our Wills solicitors in Essex ensure the will-making process is as stress-free as possible. We understand it can be a difficult subject to broach, but with our experience and knowledge we can guide you through the stages of creating your Will efficiently.
John Fowlers Solicitors offer a fixed fee Will for £215 plus VAT (for a simple single Will) and £375 plus VAT for simple Mirror Wills . Any additional work necessary, including trusts, estate planning and inheritance tax advice, will be charged in addition to the initial fixed fee provided.
Why should I make a Will?
If you pass away without a Will, your estate will be classed as ‘intestate’ subject to the laws of Intestacy – meaning you would have no say in where your estate would go. Therefore, no matter your financial affairs it is always best to be prepared and create a Will.
When should I review my Will?
Usually, we would recommend reviewing your Will upon any major life-changing events. You should update your Will after a birth, death, marriage, divorce or a substantial change in your financial circumstances.
John Fowlers Solicitors is a founding member firm of the National Wills Register Certainty, which acts as a national register for wills, which is why our Wills solicitors in Essex are the best in the area. Charitable Will drafting schemes
John Fowlers Solicitors also participate in charitable Will drafting schemes, allowing you the opportunity to have a Will drawn up without paying Solicitors fees – instead donating to one of our participating charities.
National Free Wills Network
If you are a patron of a specific charity and you donate regularly, often some charities will pay for a Will to be created on your behalf. In order to benefit from this scheme, we recommend you contact your chosen charity and ask them whether or not you can participate, giving John Fowlers Solicitors details as your nominated Solicitor.
